Tom represents and advises clients facing a variety of legal challenges. His practice focuses on contract disputes, fraud claims, and business torts.

Background

​

Before founding Potomac Litigation, Tom was a senior associate at a leading international firm. There, he focused on high-stakes commercial disputes, class actions, derivative actions, and cybersecurity litigation.

​​

Before entering private practice, Tom clerked for Judge Michael Devine of the Fairfax Circuit Court and Judge Thomas Ludington of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

​

In law school, Tom was an articles editor for the George Mason Law Review. Before law school, Tom was a master captain in the merchant marines.

Mary Nilges

Mary Nilges, Potomac Litigation IT and operations support

Mary Nilges helps the firm deliver world-class legal services personalized to each client. She manages the firm's IT, advances the firm's digital presence, and oversees a variety of other projects.

Background

 

Mary has extensive experience with small business development and management. She graduated from Northern Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in political science and has completed advanced studies at Tulane University in neuroscience.
